  The Fraternal Excellence Awards recognize exceptional contributions and outstanding achievements, exemplifying the Promise & Values of Alpha Gamma Rho. Individuals and chapter honorees display the highest levels of leadership, scholarship, citizenship, philanthropy, and service.

GOLD & GREEN CHAPTER STATUS

   Every chapter can earn recognition for achieving excellence in the following categories: Academics, Communications, Continued Alumni Engagement, Crescents, Lifelong Membership Development, Living the Promise & Values, and Recruitment.

Gold Status Chapters

   Chapters that achieve excellence in six categories achieve Gold Status.

Academic Excellence Award

   The Academic Excellence Award is given to the top three chapters that have shown campus leadership in academics and have successfully established a strong academic program for their chapter.

  • Highest Honor: Eta Chapter (Iowa State)
  • High Honor: Kappa Chapter (Nebraska)   
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Upsilon Chapter (UT–Martin)

Communications​ Award

  The Communications Award looks to recognize chapters that use multiple means of electronic communication to engage various age groups on what the chapter strives to achieve, and involvement with both campus and community.

  • Highest Honor: Lambda Chapter (Minnesota)
  • High Honor: Alpha Delta Chapter (Montana State)   
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Gamma Chapter (Florida)

Continued Alumni Engagement Award

   The Continued Alumni Engagement Award is given to the top three chapters that continually foster strong alumni involvement and leadership throughout the year.

  • Highest Honor: Kappa Chapter (Nebraska)
  • High Honor: Eta Chapter (Iowa State)   
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Zeta Chapter (Kansas State)

Crescents; Single Issue Award

   The Crescent; Single Issue Award celebrates the top three chapters that publish the best Crescent, which highlights the work and accomplishments of alumni and collegiate members.

  • Highest Honor: Alpha Zeta Chapter (Kansas State)
  • High Honor: Omicron Chapter (Kentucky)   
  • Honorable Mention: Iota Chapter (UW–Madison)

Crescent; Feature Story Award

   The Crescent; Feature Story Award goes to the top three chapters that publish the best Crescent feature story, showcasing, but not limited to, making a difference on campus/in the community, alumni accomplishments, chapter philanthropic events, etc.

  • Highest Honor: Omicron Chapter (Kentucky)
  • High Honor: Alpha Upsilon Chapter (UT–Martin)   
  • Honorable Mention: Iota Chapter (UW–Madison)

Lifelong Membership Development Award

   The Lifelong Membership Development Award is given to the top three chapters that have implemented a program which encompasses continuous education and lifelong personal development in not only their new members, but also successful re-engagement of alumni.

  • Highest Honor: Eta Chapter (Iowa State)
  • High Honor: Iota Chapter (UW–Madison)   
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Psi Chapter (UW–River Falls)

Living the Promise & Values Award

   The Living the Promise & Values Award is given to the top three chapters that enthusiastically embrace and uphold the Promise & Values, in turn continually presenting a positive image of Alpha Gamma Rho.

  • Highest Honor: Alpha Zeta Chapter (Kansas State)
  • High Honor: Theta Chapter (Missouri)   
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Upsilon Chapter (UT–Martin)

Outstanding Community Service & Philanthropic Efforts Award

    The Outstanding Community Service & Philanthropic Efforts Award recognizes chapters that participate in their communities, serving through volunteerism and philanthropic efforts.

  • Highest Honor: Alpha Gamma Chapter (Florida)
  • High Honor: Alpha Theta Chapter (Maryland)   
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Delta Chapter (Montana State)

Recruitment Excellence Award

   The Recruitment Excellence Award goes to the top three chapters that have implemented an effective, year-round recruitment program.

  • Highest Honor: Omicron Chapter (Kentucky)

  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Gamma Chapter (Florida)

Committed Alumni Corporation Award

   The Committed Alumni Corporation Award recognizes Chapter Alumni Corporations that demonstrated hard work and continued success for its chapter’s collegiate membership.

  • Highest Honor: Eta Chapter (Iowa State)
  • High Honor: Lambda Chapter (Minnesota) 
  • Honorable Mention: Alpha Psi Chapter (UW–River Falls)

Outstanding Adviser Award

   The Outstanding Adviser Award is given to the top three Chapter Advisers who committed to engaging all brothers in professional development and lifelong success through the Promise & Values.

  • Highest Honor: Bailey McCracken, Alpha Delta Chapter (Montana State)
  • High Honor: Brad Skaar, Eta Chapter (Iowa State) 
  • Honorable Mention: Rob Hunt, Alpha Gamma Chapter (Florida)

MARIE COE MEMORIAL HOUSEMOTHER/HOUSE DIRECTOR AWARDS

 

Housemother/House Director Social & Cultural Development

   The award for Housemother/House Director Social & Cultural Development recognizes Housemothers/House Directors who developed then implemented programs and initiatives to improve the social development or cultural awareness of brothers at their chapter. 

  • Highest Honor: Teri Gustafson, Lambda Chapter (Minnesota)
  • High Honor: Diane Pinneke, Eta Chapter (Iowa State)   
  • Honorable Mention: Jerri Conley, Alpha Upsilon (UT–Martin)

Housemother/House Director Management

   The award for Housemother/House Director Management goes to the top three Housemothers/House Directors who consistently demonstrate superior management of the chapter facilities and the chapter.

  • Highest Honor: Dianna Philippi, Alpha Zeta Chapter (Kansas State)
  • High Honor: Cody Gehl, Iota Chapter (UW–Madison)   
  • Honorable Mention: Logan Yearsley, Alpha Theta Chapter (Maryland)

Outstanding Undergraduates of the Year

   The honor of Outstanding Undergraduates of the Year recognizes undergraduate members who excel in their collegiate career both on campus and within the Fraternity.
