• Wisconsin-Madison undergrad recognized at Junior Holstein Convention

  • TWO RIVERS, Wisc. – Dec. 30, 2010 – Wisconsin-Madison undergraduate Mitch Kappelman, the 19-year-old son of Pete and Shellie Kappelman, will be recognized as a Distinguished Junior Member during the Wisconsin Holstein Association's annual Junior Holstein Convention, which will be Jan. 8-10 in Stevens Point.

     

    The Kappelmans own and operate Meadow Brook Farms, north of Manitowoc. Mitch is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he is studying dairy science with a business emphasis. He was initiated by Iota chapter in 2009 and served as a storage/warehouse co-chairman for the Badger Dairy Club at World Dairy Expo.

     

    Youth from across the state will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in multiple categories during the convention. The Distinguished Junior Member recipients are ages 17 to 21. They, along with younger winners, will be recognized at an awards banquet on Jan. 9.
