KANSAS CITY, Mo. – June 13, 2018 – Alpha Gamma Rho is pleased to announce the addition of Thomas Schwarz to the AGR Home Office staff. He will be serving the National Fraternity as Chapter Consultant.
Brother Schwarz grew up on corn, soybean, and turkey operation in southern Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota, and was initiated into Lambda Chapter in the fall of 2014. Brother Schwarz recently graduated with a degree in Agriculture and Food Business Management and a minor in Political Science.
While attending the University of Minnesota, he served as VNR of Recruitment and VNR of Membership Development for Lambda Chapter. He was also involved in the Gopher Crops and Soils Club, Minnesota’s National Agri-Marketing Association chapter, and the student government – serving on the College of Agriculture’s Undergraduate Student Board and the University’s Student Association.
Schwarz was originally drawn to AGR for its tie to agriculture, but feels his experience grew into much more than that. “Growing up surrounded by agriculture, joining Alpha Gamma Rho was an easy decision,” said Schwarz, “looking back on the last four years, it has been one of the best experiences of my life.”
Schwarz is excited to serve the Fraternity through the AGR Home Office and meet other brothers from across the nation. He looks forward to helping AGR make a bigger impact and traveling the country to explore agriculture in different areas throughout the United States.
